Before or After

Just a general question. I am hanging drywall on a new wall with a door in it. Is it better to install the door frame before or after I hang the drywall?

Thanks

Thanks - I was hesitant to proceed. I am not much of a drywall hanger and avoid it whenever I can. I can now proceed with a bit more confidence.

Drywall after framing
by: DrywallTeam

You will want to frame the door out first. You will want to butt the drywall clear up the frame that way you can trim it. It will be much more difficult to do it after.
I hope this helps.
