first timer

I want to create more privacy in my basement by hanging drywall over a largely open space created as the stairs come down from the kitchen. The only problem is, there are no wall studs to hang the drywall on, and since the space is visible to everyone coming down the stairs, and the studs would be too, I don't see how I could put them up anyway. I'm considering running a 2x2 across the ceiling and drilling the drywall to that, and also to the wall as it climbs up along the staircase. Will that provide enough support?

I cans suspect that there were more problems which were not believed to be so true and so effective there, but yeah there are still many of the ways through which we can proceed ourselves and watch more out of it. assignment help sydney

Drywall for basement NEW
by: Tyler

Hello,

I am very sorry for getting back to you so late. We have had some system issues arise. I would not attempt to hold the drywall on 2x2 because of the weight of the drywall. Especially since you will want to use moisture resistant drywall.
If you want to take a few pictures so I can get a better idea. I will guide you through the best course of action.
In addition framing in a wall in a basement is a pretty simple process. That I could walk you through if that is the best course of action.
