Fixing drywall sagging in ceilings
by: DrywallTeam

Hello,

When drywall begins to sag the majority of the time it is caused from the screw breaking through. This is why we always recommend using drywall adhesive as well as screwing it in place on ceilings. The first thing you will want to do is locate your primary ceiling joist mark it. And also measure over 16 or 24 inch on center depending on your ceiling spacing. On each side of the stud if the gap is spread out. Take a drywall gun or drill and insert new screws around 6 inches apart to suck the drywall back up. Do this on the surround studs on both sides as well. Fill the holes with compound and place primer and paint and you should be good to go.
