My husband and myself are building our home by ourselves...we are hanging sheet rock now...my question is...if we are going to texture the walls..do you still have to tape and float?

Finishing textured drywall
by: DrywallTeam

Hello,
The unfortunate answer is yes. You will not need to be near as precise on finishing. The tape secures the drywall and adds strength. Even with texturing you will still have to do all of the corners also. The nice thing about texturing it allows for usually a single coat to be done instead of two or three.

I hope this helps.
